For me, everything comes back to connection—to the earth, each other, to our shared, complex past and hopeful visions for the future. That connection is the thread that runs through my life as a gardener, an avid cook and forager, reiki practitioner, and as writer and textile artist.

I believe deeply in the body’s innate wisdom, and that birth is both an initiation and a rite of passage that is to be trusted, revered and protected within community. Like any force of nature, birth can be mysterious and unpredictable. In my work I recognize the complexity and nuance that modern birth asks us to hold, and know that we have a unique opportunity in this time to thoughtfully and intuitively utilize all the tools available.

My work is deeply elemental and seasonal, weaving in ceremony, ritual and birth arts so that you might walk your path to birth and parenthood feeling held, deeply supported and attuned to your body, baby and inner world.

I’ve spent most of my life working closely with families and in community as a neighbor, sister and friend. Born in New York, I spent my childhood on the New England coast, and eventually left to live in Paris, then Amsterdam, then NYC. I studied music in college, and have worked at NPR and at various record labels. I still love to freelance to stay connected to that community.

Running parallel to that journey, I’ve been called time and time again in the last decade to deepen my connection to the earth body and the wisdom of ancestry through herbalism, energy work and deep inquiries into the physical and the intangible. Living these connections and questions doesn’t always look one way—and I find that more often than not, folks who are open, curious and craving depth resonate with my work, even if they’ve never named these elements with specificity.

Birth work is where all these threads have come together for me. I love to be engaged with my community, to have my hands busy in the kitchen or in the dirt, to take a long meandering walk around the block with a toddler, to lend an ear to a tired new parent and everything in between.
